Hot Rolled D2 With Black Surface Cold Work Tool Steel Flat Bar
D2 engineering steel is a cold work tool steel
It is used for metal stamping die, drawing die, stainless steel blanking die, die blanking high hardness, cutting Daomo, Roll die, metal parts production, machinery manufacturing.
Chemical composition (%)
C | Si | Mn | Cr | Mo | V | P | S |
1.40-1.60 | 0.30-0.50 | 0.30-0.50 | 11.0-13.0 | 0.80-1.20 | 0.70-1.10 | ≤0.03 | ≤0.15 |
Equivalent grades:
GB | DIN | AISI | JIS |
Cr12Mo1V1 | 1.2379 | D2 | SKD11 |
Applications:
1) For the refrigerator compressor after drawing die, quenching hardness 56 ~ 58HRC.
2) In order to improve the service life of D2 cold-work flat rolled steel, the method of adding rare earth is adopted to improve the wear resistance and impact toughness of the steel, so as to achieve the purpose of improving the service life of circular flat rolled steel products .
3) Since the content of V and Mo in D2 steel is higher than that of Cr12MoV steel, it has better comprehensive performance, while the traditional Cr12MoV steel will be gradually replaced.
4) Made of D2 steel rolling wheel, die from the Taiwan plate die, and Cr12MoV steel can improve the life of 5 to 6 times.
Advantages:
1, Good workability, heat treatment, dimensional stability
2, Excellent machining type
3, Hardened, excellent dimensional stability
4, Hardened and tempered, by the high surface hardness and body toughness with good
D2 mold steel material quality directly affects the quality of the pressure processing technology, product precision production and production costs, and mold quality and service life in addition to rely on reasonable structural design and processing accuracy, mainly by the mold material and heat treatment.

Heat treatment specifications and microstructure
Heat treatment specifications: Quenching, preheating 820 ± 15 ℃, 1000 ± 6 ℃ (salt bath) or 1010 ± 6 ℃ (furnace control atmosphere) heating, heat 10 ~ 20min, air cooling, tempering at 200 ± 6 ℃.
To stress annealing: rough workpiece, heated to 600 ~ 650 ℃, heat 2 hours, with the furnace cooled to 500 ℃, baked air-cooled.
Quenching: the workpiece is slowly warmed to 600 ° C., and is incubated for 20 minutes for the first preheating. After the temperature is raised to 850 ° C., the second preheating is performed for 30 minutes and then the temperature is raised to 1020~1040 ° C. and the temperature is maintained for 25~40 minutes. Baked cold air.
Tempering: Tempering immediately after quenching, and tempering at least twice, each holding time of not less than 2h
Note: after quenching should be promptly tempered, to prevent cracking, and to prevent surface decarburization, gauges and high precision molds should be cryogenic treatment (-70 ℃), and the use of high temperature tempering, to reduce the deformation of the workpiece, high temperature tempering temperature of 500 ~ 560 ℃, hardness greater than 58HRC.
Hardness: Annealing, ≤ 255HB, indentation diameter ≥ 3.8mm, quenching, ≥ 59HRC.
Heat treatment specifications and microstructure: Quenching, preheating 820 ± 15 ℃, 1000 ± 6 ℃ (salt bath) or 1010 ± 6 ℃ (furnace control atmosphere) heating, heat 10 ~ 20min, air cooling, tempering at 200 ± 6 ℃.
