Feafure and application
High strength, high hardenability, good toughness, small deformation during quenching, high creep strength and long-lasting strength at high temperatures.
For the manufacture of steel with higher strength and quarry section than 35CrMo, such as locomotive traction gear, supercharger transmission gear, pressure vessel gear, rear axle, heavy load connecting rod and spring clamp , Can also be used for deep well drilling pipe joints and fishing tools below 2000m, and can be used for bending machine molds.
It is mainly used to manufacture measuring tools, cutting tools, impact tools and cold and hot molds and some special-purpose tools.
About Alloy steel
Alloy tool steel, is based on carbon steel but add of chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, vanadium and other alloying elements to improve hardenability, toughness, wear resistance and heat resistance of a class of steel.
The addition of Cr and Mn improves the hardenability of the tool steels, with the addition of other elements optionally added at the same time (up to 5% in total) to form a series of alloy tool steels.
